Do you or your group want to help support Durham Region Hospice in building two Residential Hospices in your neighborhood but are not sure how? Consider holding a Special Event or Fundraiser (known as a “Third Party Event”). Third Party Events can be fun, creative and very successful.

Once it is safe to do so, some examples of community-based events that are proven fundraisers are: bake sales, garage sales, entertainment nights, BBQs, dinner/dances, themed dinners, car washes … the list is endless.

During the pandemic, many individuals and companies have found other, very creative ways to safely fundraise for DRH: on-line auctions and Zoom parties are just two examples.

Follow our easy step-by-step guidelines in the Third Party Fundraising Guide attached here.

Durham Region Hospice will help support you in your efforts! Carefully read the enclosed Guide, get together with your friends/colleagues, and start brainstorming ideas; then contact us for help.

Thank you to everyone who continue to support these much-needed hospices.
